If you haven't noticed, I've been pretty quiet over here on the blog. And the reason has to do with something that has a tiny nose, and ten fingers and toes! I am so excited to share that Mark and I are expecting a baby boy and he should be arriving any day now.
This is our first pregnancy and luckily everyone has been healthy and moving along at the perfect pace. My due date is March 15th, so as of right now we are less than one week away!
It has taken me a while to post about our exciting news because over the last nine months, my creativity has been zapped right out of me. I started my pregnancy with pretty bad morning sickness and severe food aversions, which made it hard to just eat normal food.. let alone recipe test!
After my morning sickness wore off around week 17, I had 11 dietetic interns keeping me very busy. I was taking about 3-4 interns for a week at a time, teaching them all about recipe testing, food photography, and branding. By the end of the day, I was exhausted!
Over the last 9 months, I've also been working diligently behind the scenes on my blog by revamping recipes, organizing my old images, and hiring someone to rewrite outdated content. My interns have also been recipe testing for me, which means I have plenty of exciting recipes coming soon. So, even though I have not been posting anything new, there was still plenty of blog stuff going on in the background!
Lately, Mark and I have been staying in and enjoying our time together before our whole world gets spun around. We went on a babymoon in early February and stayed at the Hotel Del Coronado in San Diego. It was so nice and relaxing! For our babymoon, all I wanted to do was sit by the water and never have to leave the hotel for our food and entertainment - and that's exactly what we did!
I am now at the point in my pregnancy where I'm in full-on nesting mode. I've had the urge to declutter, clean, and organize every inch of our house - which is a big undertaking. It also doesn't help that I am an over planner, so I feel like I need to be overly prepared with all the newborn things by the time baby is here. I know that is unrealistic and I should expect the unexpected but I can't help it!
Once baby is here and we are all in a good routine, I am so excited to get back into posting new content. I have so many recipes and Amazon hauls that I am itching to share! I miss posting and I can't wait to jump back in again. Thank you for being patient with my website and I hope you are as excited as I am about the new content coming soon!
