I am so excited to introduce a new blog series! Chef Off Duty is a place where I showcase and share some of my favorite online recipes. I love to cook and when I'm not making my own creations, I find myself digging through cookbooks and printing off online recipes, essentially letting someone else 'take the reigns' for dinner. Following someone else's recipe allows me to take my chef hat off and trust the guides of someone else to put together something spectacular. Cooking from someone else's recipes takes me out of my comfort zone by exposing me to new dishes, ingredients, and techniques that I otherwise wouldn't have tried, which is always inspiring!
Some online recipes have been unfortunate flops while others have quickly become my ultimate go-tos. I recently started printing and organizing my top online recipes into a booklet so I can turn to my favorite recipes whenever I need them. I found it a little unfair that I was holding on to some of my favorite online recipes and not sharing them here with you here on my blog. Just because they are not my original recipes, I didn't want keep them from you because they are truly some of the best recipes on the internet!
Consider my Chef Off Duty recipes to be a collection of delicious, flavorful, tested recipes that I have throughly vetted and my family loves. I also want to provide you with a few cooking or ingredient tips, dietitian notes, and wine pairings so you can love and enjoy these recommended recipes to the fullest. All of the photographs and notes are my own and I will always link and give full credit to the original recipe creator.
With that being said, if you have a recipe you think I would love and should be featured on Chef Off Duty, email me and I will try it out!
